Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 1, 2026

Dawnboard is designed to be a private experience. We do not collect or store any personally identifiable information.

1. Your Data Stays Yours

Dawnboard syncs your dashboard data across your devices using your private iCloud account. This data is stored and encrypted by Apple in your own iCloud container. We have no ability to read, access, or retrieve any of it.

2. Weather and Location

To show weather on your dashboard, Dawnboard sends your coordinates directly from your device to the National Weather Service API (weather.gov). We do not store or log your location data. See the NWS privacy policy for how they handle requests.

3. Crash Reports

Dawnboard uses Apple’s built-in crash reporting. If your device is configured to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple may provide us with anonymized crash logs to help improve the app. These reports do not contain personally identifiable information. You can control this in your device’s Settings under Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

4. What We Do Not Do

Dawnboard does not:

  • Collect or store any personally identifiable information
  • Track, profile, or identify individual users in any way
  • Use cookies or tracking scripts on this website
  • Include third-party analytics or advertising in the app

Privacy is not a feature we added. It is how Dawnboard is built.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
